Is 'forced to relay through a gateway' an instance of 'thoroughly
misconfigured'? Or is it just a corner case not worth bothering for?

(I'm not _quite_ trolling. I'd like to know if I ought to spend the
effort to change my otherwise-mostly-working configuration.)
