What I would then really like in this case is for the BTS to have a category on the list of package bugs called "Pending autobuilding" or something like that when asked for dist=unstable with no version number. This would be for the situation where the bug is fixed by version 1.1-4, but some architectures are still on version 1.1-3. (As a parallel, if I mark a bug as "pending", it disappears from the list of normal bugs and it is moved into a separate category. This is really helpful for knowing at a glance what is going on.) That, it seems to me, would be the best solution for most of the issues raised here. It does not seem possible to easily do this at the moment.
