Hi debian devel subscribers, A default Etch install has Exim configured for local mail only. So reportbug mails will end up frozen in a queue somewhere, without any direct warning to the user.
I think this is not a good situation. What do you think about it and what would be a good way to solve it? Please CC me. Greetings, Olaf On 11/9/06, Marc Haber <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

See #392609. The exim4 maintainers were strongly urged by the installer guys to have exim refrain from asking configuratino questions during install and have complied reluctantly. That meant choosing a default, and - of course - regardless of what you choose as the default the choice is considered wrong by everybody. To make it short: Please take this to debian-devel or to the tech ctte to have them tell me what to choose as default. I don't care. And I am not going to change this default just to have somebody else complain a day later.
