That's what I figured, but 2.5 has been sitting in experimental for
"a while", and I didn't know whether it was just waiting for final
release to be dropped into Sid just before the freeze.

Is "common sense" really valid?
For example, it is "common sense" to white-power racists that
whites are superior to blacks, and that those with brown skins
are mud people.
However, that "common sense" is obviously wrong.
