Neither xmgrace nor ddd will allow text input for AMD-64 architecture. This is a severe problem. I'm writing to the developers list because their common problem probably means there is, perhaps, a library issue. I shouild point out that I have built from sources and have exactly the same problem. For what it's worth, I have exactly the same problem in fedora core 5, but not on Fedora Corre 4.
