More of the line that the program may be useful SUID (like build and debpkg) are, but setting them as such may or may not be a security hole depending on who has permissions for that group. I have build and debmake suid to group staff, so everyone in group staff on my box can build debian packages (they also have access to sudo). However, you may not want that arangement. - -- Scott K.
