I use them too. I never my exim config at all, so I read the debconf note and chose the many small files option. I think you misunderstood my post. I said something like "who would be confused by what is in essence #include files?" Please spare me your moralizing when you don't even read my post very closely and I was already in favor of the current way Debian handles it.
