I started using Linux (and Debian) a couple months after Woody "came out." Was woody due "any day now" for a year like this? For what it's worth Microsoft goes into feature freeze about a year before an OS ships. They fork the kernel then. About the only thing that changes after that is the icons and desktop colors.
