Source tar.gz: 67MB Initial .deb Size: 148MB Current .deb Size: 16MB arch dependent, 52MB arch independent Initially, the binary directory ($LOAD) was 200MB, which I've cut down to 20MB by adding the ability to compile using shared libraries (not available from the upstream compile script). The libraries themselves are <10MB. This is still a huge package; it takes almost 2 hours (CPU bound) to compile on my 850MHz laptop. So, no, the size is not a mistake. Still a WIP, I'm presently working on separating the compile-time from install-time process (which are bundled in the upstream script). Justin
