You can't fix *this* dependency problem easily, but you can fix the *next* one, by telling the maintainers in question that they should be somewhat more careful. Plus, if there was no Testing, the transient problem may well become a semi-permanent one. As for reporting bugs fixed in Unstable: presumably, after Sarge there will be a version-aware BTS for Debian, so that the person using Testing will still see the bug report and thus can upgrade that package from Unstable; apt-preferences are your friend. ;-) -- Matthias Urlichs | {M:U} IT Design @ m-u-it.de | [EMAIL PROTECTED]
