According to GNU upstream CVS, s390x was added as a basic machine in 2001-03-09. That is *HIDEOUSLY* out-of-date stuff. Any package with such a config.sub should be breaking also on amd64, and probably on any of the Debian/BSDs. Since people will notice the FTBFS on s390x, please take the time to get a fully updated config.sub and config.guess into sid (or at least file a bug on the BTS) while you are doing the minimal fix for sarge... I urge people to read the autotools-dev package's README.Debian, and use one of the automated config.sub/guess update procedures (the "link method" described there won't even increase your diff.gz size by more than a few bytes) to fix packages in sid. -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
