Yes, you have 2 options, use the outside syslog (by using udp or additional
named pipe) or start a second syslog in the inner jail (by using a named
pipe). Both has advantages and disadvantages. For one, it might be a
security problem to allow chrooted process to talk to an outside program, on
the other hand it simplyfies log management.
