Yavipin is a daemon for creating a secure tunnel between two peers, which allows either to securely send packets to the other. Yavipin's main features are its network efficiency, security, and ease of use. Its packet overhead is less than IPsec default, it supports packet compression, and can establish a tunnel over a NAT. Yavipin exists completly in userspace, so there is no need to recompile your kernel. Also, since Yavipin operates at the link layer, it is able to tunnel any kind of packet. Security features include protection against replay attacks, efficient session key renewal, and encryption of data sent between the peers. [1] the author of the program has said that he would add an openssl exception to the license, since the package uses openssl, and is licensed under the gpl. -- gram
