I never look at about boxes anyway, so why remove them? ;) This has nothing to do with common look, and all Interface Guidelines include an about box in the Help menu. I didn't follow the discussion why KDE is angry about RedHat, if it was for the removal of about boxes i think KDE is right to be angry... Greetings, Erich
