Depends. If the subject of locking is, say, your maildir on a shared home, you wouldn't want a nautilus on another machine ruin your mail, hence just one lockfile for your networked machines. So better get the locking to work in some way or disable it in nautilus (with a giant warning sign...) Yours, Steffen
