I thought I should add an <AOL>me too</AOL> to this. wdm starts up but does absolotely nothing. xdm (which I gave up on after numerous versions wouldn't let me log in) works quite happily. Using kernel 2.4.9, xserver-xfree86 4.1.0-6, same version of wdm, using a mix of unstable and testing. Cheers Dave
