Like txfonts(already in sid), this package contains a bunch of afm, pfb, tfm, and vf etc. to set up and use Adobe Palatino fonts (or its substitute) in your TeX documents. With pxfonts, you'll get better outputs since the normal Computer Modern leaves a little to be desired. Especially suited for mathematical papers.
