This package installs modules into the /usr/lib/perl5/5.005 directory which I am hoping to remove. If you could rebuild using the current perl packages I would be greatly obliged. If the upstream module has not been updated to build with perl 5.6, you may find that some symbols used in the code are no longer available (things like `na' need now be specified as `PL_na'). The perlapi(1) manual page describes the current C API. If all else fails, a temporary work-around of adding `POLLUTE=1' to the Makefile.PL command line will define the old symbols. Note that the mechanism for building modules has changed from that of the perl-5.* packages and is described in detail here: http://people.debian.org/~bod/perl-policy/ch-module_packages.html Regards, -- Brendan O'Dea bod@compusol.com.au Compusol Pty.
