I am working on an LClint package that is taking much longer than I expected due to unforseen time constraints. I hope to finish it up in the next couple of weeks. To do so I need answers to a couple of questions. First and most important is a question about the license. It follows:

I mailed the request list as required and received the following reply. >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Mar 19 14:23:58 1996 Received: from larch.lcs.mit.edu by csd.uwo.ca; (id AA08609) Tue, 19 Mar 96 14:23:57 EST Received: by larch.lcs.mit.edu (5.57/Ultrix3.0-C) id AA18462; Tue, 19 Mar 96 14:23:56 -0500 Date: Tue, 19 Mar 96 14:23:56 -0500 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (David Evans) Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] In-Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]'s message of Thu, 14 Mar 96 17:54:55 EST <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: request permission to modify and redistribute clint X-Status: Status: RO Sorry for the slow response, I was out of town last week. > I am writing to request permission to modify and re-distribute > lclint as part of the Debian projects distribution of Linux. Sure, I have no problem with this, as long as some effort is made to make sure the most recent version is included as well as documentation pointing to the larch site. --- Dave So is this allowed in the regular distribution or should it be in non-free. Secondly, the LClint package provides some .el and .elc files to allow access to LClint through emacs. I noticed a directory under /usr/lib/emacs named site-lisp. Is this an appropriate place to install these files or does that directory serve some other purpose? There are only 3or4 files so should I create a separate sub-directory for them if this is the proper place to put them? Thanks for your input Dale Miller [EMAIL PROTECTED] sorry that email address should be [EMAIL PROTECTED]
