cus.cam.ac.uk, the system where the debian-bugs messages are processed, has suffered a failure of the fileserver holding user home directories.
With a bit of luck only a few debian-bugs messages (30 minutes' worth, perhaps) if any will have been lost totally; more information on whether this is true won't be available until they've managed to bring the system back. In the meantime, Bruce: can you please take a copy of the mail logfiles that you'd need to use to identify the senders of any lost messages. The mail logs on CUS were not on the failed server. Messages to debian-devel will be queued at Pixar; hopefully CUS will be back before the SMTP timeout kicks in and starts bouncing them. If they bounce they'll bounce to [EMAIL PROTECTED], and we can decide what to do then. One of my email addresses, [EMAIL PROTECTED], is also on the failed system. Please don't send it any mail; use [EMAIL PROTECTED] instead - that's where mail for [EMAIL PROTECTED] is forwarded. I don't expect any mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] to have been lost - though it does pass through my filespace there it only does so briefly before being sent on to chiark. The debian-bugs area at www.cl.cam.ac.uk will not be updated until the system comes back, but will be available in the meantime and reflects the most up-to-date information available. More news as it becomes available. Ian.
