--- Begin Message ---Package: tech-ctte User: tech-c...@packages.debian.org Mehdi has proposed that the TC be involved in some fashion with a "project roadmap". Some of the TC members met in person at debconf 16 to talk about how that might work. I will attempt to (badly) summarize some of the ideas brought out in that meeting with the goal of encouraging a more complete discussion here. I think we had general agreement on a couple of notions: 1) Work in Debian is done by developers at their own discretion. 2) We do not want to stop people working on anything I think that Sam suggested that the TC could help encourage work on goals which were well specified and already in progress Keith suggested that the TC could help identify useful goals which were less well specified and less active. The end goal of this bug should be a response to the DPL's request. -- -keith

The winner is: Option 3 "The TC shouldn't be part of the regular workflow of the Roadmap team. We will always be available for escalations, as usual" I'm therefore hereby closing this bug while CC'ing the leader for further steps. -- Cheers, OdyXStarting results calculation at Thu Aug 25 17:31:26 2016 /--1234 V: 3214 marga V: 3312 fil V: 3312 don V: 2132 hartmans V: 3214 odyx V: 3212 tfheen Option 1 "The TC volunteers to be the Roadmap team" Option 2 "The TC volunteers to be part of the regular workflow of the Roadmap team, as an advisory body" Option 3 "The TC shouldn't be part of the regular workflow of the Roadmap team.
