Hi all, I am not active anymore, but I have been witnessing the professionalisation of Debian's cloud activities...
Speaking with my experience of Policy delegate, one problem with formal delegation is what to do when a large proportion of the delegates is barely active. With volunteers it is already a traumatising experience to suggest to people to step down, so can we imagine when somebody's employer might consider the loss of a Debian delegation a negative point in a yearly evaluation ? Therefore, I would like to suggest putting a time limit to people's delegations (with the possibility to be delegated again a year later). Maybe that would also mitigate enough the problems of conflict of interest. Have a nice day!
