xpdf-chinese-simplified depends on ttf-arphic-gkai00mp, because /etc/xpdf/xpdfrc-chinese-simplified refer the ttf files in ttf-arphic-gkai00mp. ttf-arphic-ukai provides ttf-arphic-gkai00mp but does not provide the ttf file. so xpdfrc-chinese-simplified does not work correctly with ttf-arphic-ukai, xpdf can't show chinese chars correctly. the advanced user know how to solve this problem. But it's hard for newbie.
