I've not installed Chinese packages to my new debian (3/25 build, test netinst). I saw packages related to Chinese in my package manager But like to see how the FAQ file say about the packages. It turns out the FAQ is rather old.
The command to install Chinese by apt-get install task-chinese-s give me the following: DebianLit:/usr/lib/GNUstep/System/Applications/Grr.app/Resources# apt-get install task-chinese-s Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done E: Couldn't find package task-chinese-s Looks like I don't have the right /etc/apt/sources.list > # > # deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux testing _Etch_ - Official Beta i386 NETINST > Binary-1 20070325-21:18]/ etch contrib main > > deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux testing _Etch_ - Official Beta i386 NETINST > Binary-1 20070325-21:18]/ etch contrib main > > deb http://ftp.se.debian.org/debian/ etch main > deb-src http://ftp.se.debian.org/debian/ etch main > > deb http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib > deb-src http://security.debian.org/ etch/updates main contrib But I don't know where to get the correct one. Without Chinese env installed. My browser can already display chinese content. The problem (old enough to me) is that the Chinese text displayed is rather strange: the sizes of the chars shown are different and randomly distributed. Does the language packages fix the display problem? Any hints and advises are greatly appreciated. YL -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
