The chance is higher that there is no firmware for their hardware installed. Not all new linux users are idiots, ymmv. So it might not be wise to treat them like they are. The normal reaction will be: Check if wifi is turned on, second (only for technical interested users) check the installed firmware and swear if there is no firmware. And that it was. Most likely now they load an image that works with their hardware out of the box - chances are high that this next image is not debian and never ever will be again. Cheers Alf
