(no need to cc me) - another old machine (soon to be retired i hope), but for those who are trying to write a USB stick using the debian installer i386 netinst image it may too have the problem and report a missing isolinux.bin. the machine i'm on is using the D865GVHZ Intel chipset and the most up to date bios i could find.
