Making CD bootable

Hello,   I’ve just run jigdo for the first time and the process was successful.   After having burned the .iso image to a CD, I find it does not boot.  My BIOS boot device settings are fine; other bootable CDs (.iso image of Knoppix, for example) work just fine.   Is there something I need to do to make the CD bootable?   Thanks in advance!
