Yes, you are right, these have been and are broken, at least some of them. But the question was about full SID images. I personally have some non-internetworked machines which are upgraded through these broken sid images from ftp.fsn.hu and this is the only way to bring the new packages to these machines... The only problem I can see with ftp.fsn.hu images is the "too big template/jigdo file" for some of them which renders them as unusable, the rest is ok imho.
