FWIW I offer a canned answer:
Interesting. Richard really means a fully qualified URL. I found the jigdo I wanted with Google and at the prompt you ask about I entered:
http://us.cdimage.debian.org/jigdo-area/3.0_r1/jigdo/woody-i386-2.jigdo
and the script runs. (Notice there is an underscore between 3.0 and r1)
At the next prompt, I entered a search string "ftp.egr" and copied the result to the command line :
http://ftp.egr.msu.edu/debian/
and now the -2.template is downloading. Seems easy enough.
I prefer the "jigdo-easy" because it's completely menu driven ... the first URL is hard-coded into it. YMMV.
