laptop support

I recently attempted to install Sarge on my Dell laptop using the netinstall image I found at http://gluck.debian.org/cdimage/testing/netinst/   I downloaded it. Burned it. Booted it. And was almost immediately disappointed to see that it did not have any pcmcia support. This means it's impossible to install sarge on my laptop without waiting hours for an unofficial FULL image to download.   Are there plans to change this in the future?   Thank you for your time. -Jeff Archambeau
