Well, I just put the i386 ones in the public area on cdimage when Anne Bezemer pointed out that the "unofficial" in the README was still there (apparently the change never made it into CVS), so I'm going to start generating the images again (there was a slightly suspicious warning message in the typescript, so I'd be happier with another run at it anyway). The only differences between the published images, and the ones I'm about to make should be the README and apt-setup docs, but the ones that are currently under the 3.0r1 directory are NOT official. This leaves me with a problem --- should I rename the next ones (3.0r1a perhaps, which seems to be what is in the Release file anyway) or simply overwrite them? Given that they were publicly visible for a few hours before I realised that they needed to be regenerated, there might be copies of them out there already, so perhaps it's best to rename them. Admittedly, I've not signed the MD5SUMS yet, so they don't count as official anyway, and I doubt it will injure anyone seriously to have a slightly outdated README, so perhaps I should just overwrite them when the new images turn up in a few hours. Anyway, the files that are not to be considered released are the ones dated around Dec 18 22:15 GMT. Feel free to play with them, but please don't rush out and produce thousands of copies and label them "official" because they're not.
