This is explained at the top of my bug report; it's important for the next ABI transition and for future conflicts (gtk will simply conflict with the virtual provide and this will also be used to build the list of packages to bin NMU). > Do you BTW still consider this bug to be serious, now that the new > dependency is fixed?
