Hi,
the problem was that the toplevel Makefile touches boot/Makefile.dep,
and in some cases it lead to build failures because Makefile.dep
wouldn't properly regenerated.
This touching is useless, as far as I can see, so the attached patch
deletes that line from the Makefile.
