Package: pan

Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

The last couple of versions of pan like to freeze up at random
intervals. Sometimes attaching to the frozen process with gdb and
entering the 'continue' command wakes pan up, but not always.
According to gdb, pan isn't doing much:

strace says this is a call to poll(2).
I'll recompile pan with debugging symbols so I can get a better trace
next time this happens.
