Package: acct Version: 6.4~pre1-1 Severity: grave Hello,
the new package version tries to completely avoid a user-configurable
path to the acct-logfile, but is not consistent there, since the
init-script still relies on ACCT_LOGFILE being set, which results in:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# debsums -as acct
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# /etc/init.d/acct start
Starting process accounting: Turning on process accounting, file set to ''.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~#
Consequently, no accounting gets written to /var/log/account/pacct.
This just renders the package unusable with it's default configuration.
I guess, just replacing the `"$ACCT_LOGFILE"' with `on' in
/etc/init.d/acct should solve this issue.
