Version: 2.13.5
Severity: normal

Hello maintainers of Debian-edu,

Looking at the results on openqa.debian.net, it looks like the question for the
profile is no longer provided in the (d-i) installer for the Debian edu image.
This change happened around 2026-03-01 (or possibly 2026-02-27)
See https://openqa.debian.net/tests/506901

Is this change intentional?

With kind regards,
Roland Clobus

Hi,

the issue is solved. It turns out that the netinst images were size limited to
1GB (1e9 bytes)
Probably in March the image has grown so much that the image creation software
tried to reduce the size by throwing out some files, which were the files that
made the core difference between the Edu installer and the regular installer.

With the hack at [1], the size limit was extended, and the recent test in
openQA has shown that the netinst image is working fine again [2].

With kind regards,
Roland Clobus
