Hi,
jpilot fails to start and segfault.
I've rebuiled it unstripped and ran ii in gdb,
here is the backtrace:

The bug is in /usr/lib/jpilot/plugins/libmail.so. This file is provided
by the jpilot-mail package but this package is no more available in
Debian.
The problem is that jpilot-mail is using libpisock.so.8 and jpilot is
using libpisock.so.9. That configuration can't work.
To solve the problem you need to remove the jpilot-mail package.
jpilot-mail was buggy and is orphaned by its upstream author.
You can try to rebuild the package jpilot-mail using pilot-link 0.12.1
if you want to continue using jpilot-mail. But know that jpilot-mail is
no more supported.
I close this bug report now.
