GNOME archived the gnome-photos project today. That means it is no
longer possible to submit bug reports, bug fixes, merge requests, or
translation updates to GNOME.

https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/-/issues/1920
gnome-photos was actually removed from Testing for almost the entire
trixie development cycle but re-entered Testing 2 months ago with an
NMU to ignore a failing test.
I think it would be nicer to not remove gnome-photos from trixie
because we are entering the trixie freezes. However, I would like to
remove gnome-photos from Debian shortly after trixie is released. This
would allow us to remove the unmaintained libdazzle.
Currently, 'gnome' Depends on gnome-photos and
cinnamon-desktop-environment Recommends it.
Thank you,
Jeremy BĂcha
