crack and crack-common both install /usr/share/Crack/conf. This does not presently seem to cause practical problems, because dpkg does not track file types. As both are installed as symbolic links with the same target, things seem to work out in practice thus far. Still, this is excercising undefined behaviour in dpkg that is subject to change and it also very likely is unintentional. Given that crack depends on crack-common, it very likely should not install /usr/share/Crack/conf. Do you agree? Helmut
