Admittedly, I should have filed a different bug for that. Please tell me: Can
you
(or anybody in the team) build the package with GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="nr_cpus=1",
or you get failing tests as I do? I'd like to know that you can reproduce the
bug before I report it. (In either case, I would offer a VM to reproduce,
as I always do).
I successfully built freerdp3 3.14.0+dfsg-1 with sbuild -j1 and it was
also successful when I added
dh $@ --no-parallel
But that's now what I said, so you are forcing me to repeat the question:
Can you (or anybody in the team) build the package (using sbuild)
on a machine with a single CPU?
Some people seem to believe this is just about building, but that's
not really the case. If the tests fail, it means the package
will potentially not work properly in such machines. There
may be thousands of such machines in the cloud, and no objective
reasons have been given to lower support for them.
I believe sbuild is much more common than a VM for building .deb
packages so a grub command line wouldn't be useful to many people.
This is not "using sbuild" vs "using a VM". I'm *always* using sbuild.
Thanks.
