The newer version (git commits) are months old and the metadata.json file there doesn't even claim GNOME Shell 47 support. The Salsa repo is explicitly a fork of the Debian GNOME repo so yes, it would be easy to move it back to team maintenance. I still wouldn't feel obligated to update every GNOME Shell extension myself since I don't use most of them. The standard team workflow is at https://wiki.debian.org/Gnome/Git but many of the packaged extensions don't fully follow that. This extension is a bit more complicated to maintain because upstream hasn't tagged any releases. I didn't get around to updating the documentation to describe how to use our workflow with git snapshots. You can ignore the team workflow for now though. Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
