well, the multisync GUI seems to work at least for some people, whereas the opensync GUI (which, confusingly, is also called multisync) does not appear to support the palm plugin yet. Removing the multisync palm plugin might be a reasonable decision for etch; opensync-0.19 is supposed to be released RSN, and maybe that will improve things so that it can truely supersede multisync for etch.
