I use the gnome-boxes app. The Express Installation feature isn't working for Debian Testing because xserver-xorg-video-qxl isn't in Testing, but otherwise the app works well. If you use a GUI, I recommend installing spice-webdavd and spice-vdagent inside the guest after it's done installing Debian and then restart. (The Express Installation feature would do this for you.)
