I trust that you tried to build it and it worked for you, but this is not the kind of bug where a successful build means it will build ok for everybody. Instead, this is some kind of Makefile bug, where a poorly specified dependency makes the package to build ok or not depending on luck. In fact, in some of my autobuilders, the package fails to build 100% of the time in bookworm, so I'm pretty sure that the bookworm version is still affected. (Moreover, the maintainer has told me he has the intention of fixing the package in stable). Thanks.
