Package: software-properties-qt Version: 0.99.30-4.1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable X-Debbugs-Cc: ltw...@debian.org
Dear Maintainer, I am not sure of what this package is and why I have it installed. When I tried to find out what it does, running it with --help it crashed. Also running it without any command line arguments gives the same outcome. $ software-properties-qt Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/software-properties-qt", line 36, in <module> from softwareproperties.qt.SoftwarePropertiesQt import SoftwarePropertiesQt File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/softwareproperties/qt/SoftwarePropertiesQt.py", line 60, in <module> if is_current_distro_ubuntu(): ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/softwareproperties/distro.py", line 28, in is_current_distro_ubuntu return isinstance(aptsources.distro.get_distro(), aptsources.distro.UbuntuDistribution) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/aptsources/distro.py", line 544, in get_distro id = id.lower() ^^^^^^^^ AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'lower' Should this be removed? -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.12.3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=it_IT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages software-properties-qt depends on: ii debconf-kde-helper 1.1.0-1+b3 ii python3 3.12.7-1 ii python3-pyqt5 5.15.11+dfsg-1+b1 ii python3-software-properties 0.99.30-4.1 ii software-properties-common 0.99.30-4.1 software-properties-qt recommends no packages.
