Source: gnome-control-center Version: 1:47.0.1-2 Severity: serious I noticed that gnome-control-center's Appearance panel breaks when xdg-desktop-portal-gnome >=47 isn't available. I believe this is because of the accent color feature. It would be nice if it wouldn't break but there is also an assumption that gnome-control-center is only used with a GNOME session where xdg-desktop-portal-gnome is mandatory.
I'm unsure whether it's libadwaita or gnome-control-center that should have a dependency on xdg-desktop-portal-gnome. Anyway, we at least don't want gnome-control-center 47 to migrate before xdg-desktop-portal-gnome so I'm filing this RC bug to hold it for now. There aren't negative consequences to letting gnome-shell & xdg-desktop-portal-gnome migrate to Testing earlier than gnome-control-center. Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
