Upstream maintainer here. This symbol is an internal gnulib symbol (from gnulib's free.c), I don't understand why anything else should be using it. It's certainly not (intentionally) part of the librecode API. It shouldn't be compiled on a glibc-based system in any case. Probably a mistake on my part, sorry about that. -- https://rrt.sc3d.org
