Sorry, I got that bit wrong. I was looking at the 'all' build not the 'amd64'
msgfmt used to work, but no longer. It seems a header such as msgid "" msgstr "" "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8\n" needs to be added, AND the encoding changed to UTF-8 Regards, Peter
