Package: ifupdown2 Version: 3.0.0-1.1 Severity: grave Tags: ipv6 Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? The upgrade to python3.12 which replaced "readfp" with "read_file) * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I replaced "readfp" to read_file in /usr/share/ifupdown2/ifupdown/main.py and it fixed the problem. * What was the outcome of this action? ifup and ifdown started working properly. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.9.3-060903-generic (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_CA:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages ifupdown2 depends on: ii iproute2 6.9.0-1 ii python3 3.12.2-1 ifupdown2 recommends no packages.
