I couldn't get the same output you posted, but after doing severals
fullscreen, hide/show controls I got:

I could even reproduce this in an amd64, with an ATI 9250 video card. But it
seems to be a random problem.
The strace I've got is quite large (about 8M), but if it's usefull to anyone I
can publish it.
